A Reading by MA Writers
New works from the MA Writing
Hear 20 new writers from Hallam University’s MA Writing.
6.15 to 7.45: Weds 17th February
At: Bank Street Arts Centre
Admission Free
As part of Bank Street’s “Exploding Poetry” month, students and tutors from the MA will give readings of their work: poetry, and a little prose.
This may be your first chance to hear a new literary star as students follow in the footsteps of illustrious graduates, such as Frances Leviston, Marina Lewycka and, most recently, Anna Chilvers.
Although the MA is one of the best in the country, and has been running for many years, it’s rare that the public or, indeed, the students themselves, get to hear the writings that result. Until, that is, the students go on to become successful and well known in their fields, as many have.
You’ll hear twenty new pieces: entertaining, illuminating, exciting, funny, subtle.
If you arrive early, you’ll also have chance to explore the “Exploding Poetry” exhibition.
